It is well known that eating cholesterol causes high cholesterol.

But did you know that this, of course, is not true, as it’s now known that your liver makes about 75 percent of your body’s cholesterol.

That’s right! Even if you didn’t eat any cholesterol, you would still have cholesterol in your body, which is a good thing considering it’s needed by every one of your cells to produce cell membranes.

The problem is the facts about cholesterol causing cholesterol is all based on a bunch of lies.

It started with a study in 1913 by a Russian Nikolahj Nikolajewisch Anitschkow who fed rabbits cholesterol and determined that it led to a disease of the arteries characterized by the accumulation of plaques of fatty material on the inner walls.

Apparently no one questioned the fact that rabbits are herbivores and do not naturally consume cholesterol!

But this study does have worthwhile results.

Which brings me to the post’s picture.

If rabbits eating fats and cholesterol can cause the rabbit many health problems because it is not a natural diet for them, what about you eating a diet that is not natural for you?

If you have been on a low fat diet all your life and told fat is bad, think about this.

If you were to just eat rabbit for your diet, and you have no fat from any other source such as beaver, moose or fish, you will develop diarrhea in about a week, with headache, lack of energy and a vague discomfort.

Even if you eat enough rabbits to distend your stomach you would still feel unsatisfied.

The Indians of the north always carried an enormous slab of back fat that could weigh 50 pounds.

They would then mix one to one by volume fat with their meat.

By calorie content this amounted to a diet of 80% mostly saturated fat calories to 20% protein calories.

And guess what?

Among the northern Indians, obesity, cancer and heart disease were nonexistent.

And while the majority of the U.S. population is on some type of health care practitioner’s low fat diet today, obesity, cancer and heart disease are spiking at an alarming rate.

Don’t get this part wrong, this is not one of those fad high protein type diets that I am talking about here, it is a HIGH FAT DIET.

You see your body can only supply roughly 1000 calories per day through a protein-only diet because the liver is only capable of producing 250 grams of glucose from protein, no matter how much protein you eat.

 So on a high protein diet, you will still feel hungry, and you’ll eat more.

Unfortunately, your liver will start struggling and failing to convert the ammonia into urea so the ammonia will reenter your blood stream.  This starts messing with your nervous system.

Ammonia is an extremely toxic base and its accumulation in the body would quickly be fatal.

However, the liver contains a system of carrier molecules and enzymes which quickly converts the ammonia (and carbon dioxide) into urea.
