Scary DietThere is no other way to put it.

Do you eat and a few hours later find yourself feeling “hungry”?

That is because your body has used up the meal’s energy and is now craving more. There is no better way to put it.

It is all explained in the 3 Step LCHF Diet, but I will try to condense it here.

First, you should know that “sugar” has shown in studies to be even more additive than cocaine. I put sugar in parentheses because all carbohydrates are a form of sugar.

Your body prefers sugar as a fuel or energy source.

So when you eat sugar at a meal, your metabolism instantly grabs that fuel source as the preferred fuel source to burn.

Now it has plenty of fuel. So it takes the other fuel source, fat, and stores it.

A few hours later the fast burning fuel source, sugar, is gone. Now the body signals you that you are out of fuel.

Why doesn’t the body just start burning the fat?

Because fat takes more energy to access and only uses it as an emergency fuel source. Besides, as you continue to feed your body different sugar sources, your body becomes a sugar burner.

To lose weight, you want your body to burn that fat.

So when you eliminate almost all sugars in all forms, the body has no fuel. That is why when starting a low carb diet the first few days to a week or so you have very little energy.

But once the body goes into emergency mode it burns the fats you consuming. An hour or two later, when the fat is burned, it now is able to access your body fat to burn for fuel, because your body has now turned into a fat burner instead of a sugar burner.

This little trick to get your body to burn fat instead of sugar changes the body’s access to fuel.

As a sugar or carbohydrate burner your body has access to about 2,500 calories BUT as a fat burner your body has access to about 50,000 calories.

You feel satisfied and no longer have cravings because your body now can access the body’s fat storage and uses it for fuel.

You instantly feel you will be sacrificing your flavorful foods for a bland diet.

Not any more!

You see, what you have been taught for over 40 years is a healthy diet is one that must be low fat, low sodium and low cholesterol.

This actually is the basis for a very unhealthy and bland diet.

Fat is GOOD for you! Not bad.

When we remove most of the fat from a diet, we are removing most of the flavor and nutrition.

For example a steak grilled over a searing heat has less flavor and nutrition than one that is pan fried in healthy saturated fats over a medium heat.

But when we think of fried foods, we only picture the unhealthy french fries, hamburgers or something coated in some type of flour and dipped in some type of unhealthy oil at a fast food restaurant.

What sounds better vegetables steamed with a little tiny sliver of margarine or vegetables steamed in a generous serving of great tasting healthy fat.

Thing is, if put together with the correct foods, the generous serving of great tasting fat is much more healthy for you and I think you would agree, tastes much better.

What about desserts? This one is a little harder to explain, but when you are on a high fat diet weight loss plan that is a low carbohydrate diet, sweets made with sugar or artificial sweeteners, really don’t taste good.

On some high fat diet weight loss plans, desserts are made using organic fruits. Once again, healthy and great tasting!

But not all high fat or low carbohydrate diets are the same.

Some replace the carbs with eating an endless amount of protein. This is not good as protein eaten in excess can be made into glucose spiking your blood glucose.

When you go to the grocery store, there are literately hundreds of products on the shelves that claim; low fat, fat free, low sodium and low cholesterol foods.

Have you ever picked one of these up and look at the ingredients? What really are you eating?

In the book I explain how sodium can be bad for you. But I also explain how it is necessary and may be good for you. It all depends on what type of sodium you are consuming and how you are using it.

But there is also misinformation about cholesterol.

The reason cholesterol was shown to be bad was also based on a flawed study. It was studying how fat caused cholesterol that was done studying chickens.

I could go on and on. But the short story is this. Chickens are herbivores. Humans are omnivores.

So an animal is an herbivore is naturally going to react differently than an animal (human) that is an omnivore which has evolved over thousands of years to be able to digest meat and animal fat.

The bottom line is this. Eat real food. The 3 Step LCHF Diet book actually lists all the foods you can eat and charts that explain what quantities you should consume taking all the guess work out.
