Sandwich Weight Loss


You may have thought that a sandwich will help you with weight loss and be heart healthy as portrayed on TV over the years but…

Here is the breakdown of what you may be eating when you get a sandwich from a restaurant…

  • The bread- First modern wheat you eat today is very different from the wheat our ancestors ate.

It now has more gluten protein in wheat as a result of hybridization.

Up until the 19th century wheat usually mixed with other grains, beans and nuts. It was only during the last 200 years that pure wheat flour has been milled into refined white flour.

What happens is the most nutritious part of the grain is removed when it is refined, so the flour basically becomes a form of sugar.

Studies also show that there may be a link between simple carbohydrates and an increased chance of you getting heart disease.

In one of the studies they found that women that ate high glycemic foods may increase their risk of developing heart disease. In fact it more than doubled compared to women who ate less high glycemic foods.

Another study that used frozen blood samples from Air Force recruits over 50 years ago found that wheat gluten intolerance is four times more prevalent today.

  • Vegetables- When you eat out you usually don’t know if the vegetables you are eating are organic or a GMO crop or not.

A researcher Paula Baillie-Hamilton published an article in 2002 in the Journal Of Alternative And Complementary Medicine that presents strong evidence that chemical exposure to obesogens caused weight gain in the study’s animals.

Plus the use of sewage sludge to fertilize some of these non-GMO crops has been shown to contain obesogens chemical which can disrupt your endocrine.

By limiting your exposure to obesogens by choosing an organic diet may be the boost you need to finally lose the weight and keep it off.

Conventional non-GMO crops that are not organic are sometimes treated with bio solids, which is literally the treated waste that’s flushed down your toilet or waste from hospitals and industry.

These bio solids can contain things such as heavy metals, endocrine disruptors, pathogens, pharmaceuticals, pesticides and dioxins.

The other problem is it has been shown that some of these contaminants are absorbed into the crops you eat.

Plus these types of residues have actually proven very deadly to cattle that have grazed on crops fertilized with bio solids, and it certainly isn’t something I think you should be eating.

  • Cheese-You have no idea where this cheese came from. This is important because most of the dairy products sold in the U.S. may contain a genetically engineered bovine hormone called rBGH.

U.S. cattle treated with rBGH increases the cattle’s dairy production.

But it also increases infections in the cow’s udders which can cause pus in the dairy.

Also rBGH contains higher levels of insulin like growth factor called (IGF-1).

Does that sound safe?

If you said no you would be right because (IGF-1) hormone that may increase your chance of getting breast, prostate and colon cancers.

In fact, it has been perceived as such a potential danger to you that it has been banded in Canada, New Zealand, Japan, Australia and ALL 27 nations of the European Union.

  • Processed lunch meats-We know for a fact that when you eat out that is most likely what you are eating.

I am sure you know that some animal protein is very important for your health, but eating out you have no idea how the animal was raised, what they ate, what drugs it was given or whether it had access to grasslands.

To be safe you should only eat meats where the animal had access to pastures all the way to the end that are organically raised grass fed meats.

I could go on and on but I think you got the point.

At this time you are probably wondering how to eat healthy.
