Diets can be really scary…

After all, there is so much misleading information out there, how do you know which one is right for you?

You probably want to know how the U.S. became so unhealthy and overweight.

Let’s start at the beginning. You probably think of dieting more as a modern invention that gained popularity in the last few decades, but dieting has been around for a long time.

This may or may not make sense to you but the word “diet” was often used to refer to a routine in prisons such as in “bread and water diet” to feed the prisoners.

The interesting link between “dieting” and “deprivation” or “punishment” is probably present in your mind today!

That is ridiculous that eating, which you do all the time to stay alive, is viewed as a deprivation or punishment.

Eating should be a pleasure and not the way you view it as counting calories or exercising to exhaustion.

What happened to your diet?

I have the answer in just one word…


Don’t misunderstand me, carbohydrates or carbs is important to maintain good health.

For example when you take your prescriptions, you take the recommended amount put on the label. You take too much and it could be fatal, not enough and it doesn’t do the job.

Carbs can be effective as medicines if not better.

But carbs must be taken correctly or it can be very unhealthy for you just like your prescriptions.

Low glycemic carbs have a mild impact on your blood sugar levels and can help reduce inflammation. High glycemic carbs, on the other hand, can cause blood sugar irregularities and trigger or worsen inflammatory responses.

Why did you start eating so many carbs in the first place?

Because you were misled to believe that a low fat diet was healthy. You then replaced all the good fats with unhealthy carbs.

In summary you need to eat low glycemic carbs and take out the high glycemic carbs. You also need to know which is which. A low fat diet is what started your diet downfall.

I explore the many diets on the market. I looked at the USDA Myplate diet, diets high in protein low in fat and the high fat low carb diet plans. What I found is the high fat low carb diet seemed to have the most health benefits for you. But a high fat diet weight loss plan goes against everything you have been taught for your whole life. Plus if you have never been on a high fat low carb diet, you are so conditioned to sugar and grains at every meal you probably picture low carb dinner ideas as bland and tasteless. What I want to show you is a new diet plan that is tasty, healthy and easy to stick to because it eliminates all your cravings. Plus it tackles another problem with most diets, because it can be customized to your individual metabolism. When I was researching diets I noticed a lot were not customized. It was all about a “one size fits all” diet.
