Is convenience ruining your diet?

Well you are not alone.

Today processed foods make up about 80% of the grocery stores space.

That is because people like process foods for the convenience it brings.

It is so much easier to open a can of baked beans or frozen meal and think they are healthy for you because it may say heart healthy or have somewhere on the label saying it is healthy.

You may like the convenience of packing a sandwich for lunch made with wheat and throw in a granola bar or some potato chips.

And it is so easy to stop on the way home and pick up a family meal at a fast food store.

It is no secret that to eat really healthy you have to plan your meals that you eat throughout the day. This can seem like a real chore.

Actually it isn’t that hard.

Too many choices can make things hard though.

You have been spoiled by having access to foods all across the world and tons of different processed food choices.

Also peer pressure can make things difficult when people look at you as though you are suffering when you eat healthy or skip a meal because you are still satisfied from you last meal.

But I have been eating a very low carb, moderate protein and very high fat diet for a while now and I honestly really don’t miss any of those processed foods.

People might look at me and think I am suffering because I don’t eat the pizza, have a slice of cake or eat some candy.

Trust me. I am not.

I found on my diet, food is not the most important thing in my day.

Missing a meal here and there is not a big deal. In fact, there are times I realize I missed lunch and didn’t even know.

You see, when you don’t have cravings, you also feel satisfied throughout the day and love the food you eat, food no longer becomes a focal point in the day.

As long as I get very low carbs, moderate protein and get 60 to 80% healthy fats in my meals, life becomes so much easier as I feel myself become healthier and healthier.

So if you see me pass on a slice of pizza or miss a meal because there is nothing but processed food there. Don’t feel sorry for me.

I am not starving or craving the foods that you are eating because the last meal I ate continues to keep me satisfied with a tons of energy, thought clarity and feel healthier then I have felt in decades.

But do note, I feel sorry for you to be locked to a diet that may have healthy aspects in it, but may never eliminate your cravings, may never leave you satisfied between meals and may never give you true thought clarity.

In fact, I am almost positive that you, like most people feel you are eating somewhat healthy.

Right?

But craving pizza, pop, alcohol, frozen meals, sandwiches or fast food may be telling you that you are not really eating healthy.

Even though this is considered normal, I believe it is not.

After all, I have been where you are and I do not miss being there.

I explore the many diets on the market. I looked at the USDA Myplate diet, diets high in protein low in fat and the high fat low carb diet plans.
