When you look at all the new scientific studies coming out that are showing all the bad side effects of being on a low fat diet, you may wonder if there is a conspiracy.

But does it matter?

Whether it is misinformation or a conspiracy it doesn’t matter because either way it affects your life.

From your pains you feel in your joints, to more life threatening heart disease or cancers a low fat diet is a dangerous diet to be on.

Now most health care practitioners, doctors and dietitians will probably give you conflicting advice that going on a high fat diet is dangerous.

First off you should know right now that dieting is NOT hard if done in the correct way.

But if you think that a high fat diet is healthy and just add in more fat to your diet, beware.

If you don’t reduce the amount of carbohydrates down to a very low level, which by the way is different for everyone, increasing fats in your diet will only be counterproductive.

You only lose weight on any diet by burning your body fat.


Well your body is set up to conserve as much energy as possible.

This is why your body accesses carbohydrates first as an energy source, because it takes less energy to do so than it does to burn fat.

So in order for you to start burning body fat you must first deplete all your carbohydrates.

But your body does not switch immediately from burning carbs to burning fat when the carbs are all spent.

That is why you experience hunger pains and cravings an hour or two after eating a high carbohydrate meal, you have no energy left to burn during that time.

Have you ever skipped a meal and experienced unbelievable hunger pains and cravings then after a while those pains go away?

That is because your body began to burn fat.

So to make this long story short, any diet plan can be successful in losing weight as long as you burn through your carbs first then start burning your body fat supply.

I explore the many diets on the market. I looked at the USDA Myplate diet, diets high in protein low in fat and the high fat low carb diet plans.
